Acerola is also known as the Barbados cherry, renowned for its natural Vitamin C content (up to 65 times that of oranges). KIKI’s wildcrafted and organic raw ripe acerola cherries provide enough vitamin C to make it a powerful source for protecting against oxidative stress on the body - an imbalance between the production of free radicals and the ability to neutralise these free radicals.
The harvested acerola berries are freeze dried within 3 – 5 days to preserve as much of the nutritional content as possible. The berries are then milled to a fine powder.
Blend one or more teaspoons of acerola powder into smoothies, juices or yogurt. Add to dessert recipes and energy bars to give a nutritional boost and add a naturally sweet/sour flavour.
